Jazz / Pop / Evergreen / R&B Vocalist – Alexandra Hsieh

A former recording artiste with Hype Records/ BMG Singapore/ Ocean Butterflies, Alex has released 3 solo and 2 group albums – last album Tai Tou Wang ( Look Up ) received a 4-star review & was nominated Best Local Song & Album in FM93.3 Awards 2005. Alex’s sparkling stage presence had also charmed audiences in her roles in various musical productions, namely Dick Lee’s Kampong Amber, Liang Wern Fook’s December Rains, Jonathan Lim’s A Night of Steven Sondheim’s Musicals, and R. Chandran Rama’s Christmas Dolls. Alex was invited to sing the theme song of YOG at the 1st Anniversary of Singapore Youth Olympics Festival 2011 for Deputy PM Teo Chee Hean.

In 2012, she was a resident vocal coach for Starhub’s Academy Fantasia Singing Competition. Her returning performances at APPSCOM 2010-2016, International Defence Conference for President Nathan & Dr Tony Tan have won many approvals. Alex had the privilege to represent Singapore in cross-border events in Japan, Beijing, Malaysia and Taiwan, and she has performed for Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, the late President Ong Teng Cheong, PM Lee Hsien Loong, President Nathan & Dr Tony Tan, as well as Sultan of Brunei at official functions. She has performed with the legendary Dixieland band, the Singapore Stompers, swang the stage with the amazing Ned Kelly’s Dixieland Band, Hong Kong, and is currently the resident vocalist with the City Swing Big Band.
